The 33-year-old arrives from La Liga side Real Betis having made 17 appearances last season and joins Western Sydney as one of the club’s two marquee players, alongside striker and former Osasuna teammate Oriol Riera.
Primarily a right winger, Cejudo has notched up 155 appearances in La Liga with Real Betis and Osasuna, scoring 12 goals and providing 21 assists during his time in the Spanish top flight.
Cejudo becomes the Wanderers’ fifth and final visa signing and will land in Western Sydney later this week.
Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas said he was excited to sign the highly credentialed attacker.
“We’re delighted to welcome a player of Álvaro’s quality and pedigree to the squad,” said Tsatsimas.
“Álvaro has years of experience in one of the top leagues in the world and will be a valuable asset in the front third.”
