Keeper: Jamie Young (Roar) - Couldn’t stop City from winning, but pulled off a couple of super saves in the second half – the one to push away Mooy’s swerving rocket, in particular, was outstanding.

Defenders: Nikolai Topor-Stanley (Wanderers) - The skipper again lead from the back against the Reds. He’s having his best season yet for the red and black.

Dylan McGowan (Reds) - On a night where defences held sway, McGowan stood out. His lunge to keep out a certain Wanderers opener in the second half was crucial.

Matthieu Delpierre (Victory) - Another superb performance from the ageless Frenchman, who was solid at the back and also set up Berisha’s equaliser with an exquisite pass in the 1-1 draw with the Jets.

Nick Cowburn (Jets) - The youngster continues to shine at left-back and was excellent against Victory, doing a great job in his head-to-head battle with Kosta Barbarouses.

Midfielders: Krisztian Vadocz (Glory) - Ran the show in midfield and snuffed out many Phoenix attacks before they even got going. What a brilliant signing he's been by Kenny Lowe.

Aaron Mooy (City) - Another excellent performance from the classy midfielder, who dominated a fierce midfield battle in the 3-1 win over Roar. He’s simply imperious.

Liam Rose (Mariners) - Another quality display from the Mariners teen (just 18!). Showed great confidence on the ball and his passing and link-up play was excellent.

Forwards: Andy Keogh (Glory) - Scored in a sixth consecutive match with a tidy finish and was a menace all game.

George Blackwood (Sydney FC) - Was Sydney’s most dangerous player and capped a strong performance with his first Hyundai A-League goal in the 2-2 draw with the Mariners.

Dimitri Petratos (Roar) - Was Roar’s best in the loss to City. Scored a cracking left-foot volley, which will go down as one of the strikes of the season.

Coach of the round: Kenny Lowe (Glory) - He’s got his boys humming at exactly the right time. Take a bow, Kenny, the Glory boys are headed for the Finals Series after their deserved 2-1 win in Wellington.
