A message to Wanderers members and fans from John Tsatsimas.

We hope you and those around you are staying safe and you are looking after each other during this difficult time.

As some of you may have already seen, Football Federation Australia today announced the extended postponement of the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 season due to the continued health and safety concerns related to the COVID-19 crisis.

Full release here.

The continued postponement of the A-League and wider economic impact of COVID-19 on the world has caused significant issues for our community and our club, and like all organisations at this time, we are working through the impact this event is having on our club both in the short- and long-term. With the league continuing to remain in hiatus, our priority is the health and safety of our community, members and fans.

During this time we’ll continue to stay engaged via social media and our digital channels. Our players are healthy and working hard on their fitness at home and our staff continues to keep the club ticking over behind-the-scenes.

Our players and staff are all in this together, supporting each other during this period of isolation and uncertainty.

The importance of our members and fans can never be understated. Now more than ever we need your support to continue as a club – and together – we will grow stronger when we return. We encourage members to reach out to each other and continue to stay connected while we follow state and federal isolation protocols.

In addition to our members, we are extremely grateful to our commercial partners, many of whom have been significantly impacted by COVID-19, for their continued support.

Your membership

At this time we are not able to advise on current or future membership options until all details of the postponed A-League season are resolved and the 2020/21 season format is confirmed.

As always we will keep members up-to-date with changes as they happen and we thank you for your patience and understanding.

We know our Wanderers family, as we have since our inception, will unite during this time.

Stay safe and stay healthy,

John Tsatsimas
