The NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers are proud to announce that Afford has joined the club as a partner for the upcoming season, as well as the first back-of-chair partner for the Wanderers Powerchair team.

Afford is a non-for-profit organisation that supports people with disability to lead fulfilling lives.

They provide high-quality support to enhance lifestyles, and offer learning and vocational opportunities for people with disabilities, their families and carers under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

The partnership will offer a passionate Afford Transition to Work trainee the opportunity to experience time in the Wanderers office, assisting in both the administration and football departments to gain invaluable experience.

Match day will also be an important element of the partnership with hospitality, signage and digital presence all part of the agreement.

“We are looking forward to supporting Afford and advocating the work they do and thank them for their support of our Powerchair team.”

Afford CEO, Steven Herald, says the key aim of the partnership is to work collaboratively to uplift communities in Western Sydney.

“We see a lot of synergies in our partnership; we share vibrant cultures that celebrate diversity.

“Many of our clients are sports fanatics – they are more excited about our partnership than anyone!”
