The Western Sydney Wanderers are pleased to announce Arthur Diles as head coach of the club’s Foxtel National Youth league squad for the 2017/18 season.

A former player who plied his trade for the likes of Sydney Olympic, Sydney United and Parramatta Power in the National Soccer League and England’s Crawley Town and Belgium’s KV Mechelen, Diles joined the club in 2015 after a successful stint as Technical Director of Sydney Olympic.

Having first taken charge of the Wanderers’ U18s side, Diles was last season’s head coach of the Wanderers’ Grand Final-winning U20s side as well as assistant coach of the Red & Black’s Foxtel National Youth League side.

Diles takes charge of a young squad brimming with talent, which includes seven players who this month helped the Young Socceroos reach the 2018 AFC U19 Championship after topping their group in the qualifying tournament in Vietnam.

The Wanderers will kick-off their season against Canberra United on Sunday 19 November at Marconi Stadium.
