The Wanderers will play in their second FFA Cup Semi Final this year and are set to take on their cross-city rivals, Sydney FC, at Panthers Stadium.

Bridge says the team are raring and are expecting a massive crowd for the Derby clash.

“It’s big for our club, two years in a row into the Semi Final of the Cup. I mean, we’ve been doing extremely well in pre-season and we’ve recruited very well,” said Bridge.

“The squad is looking very good and to play Sydney FC in the Semis makes it even bigger. We’re looking to play here on Saturday in front of a full house.

“It’s a great venue for football. We take a big crowd everywhere we go so as a club we’ll be having this (Panthers Stadium) full on the weekend.

“It’s going to be loud. It’s going to be full of Red & Black and it’s going to be an amazing moment for the club.”

Growing up in St Clair, Bridge understands the importance of sport to the Penrith region.

“We love our sport out here. What’s different on match day out here is that it’s definitely hard to get out of the car park when it gets a bit full,” said Bridge.

“But look, it’s exciting to have something out here and the people out here deserve it.

“We’ve got a lot of members and fans out here so hopefully we can give them a good result and go into the Final of the Cup.”
