The Shire boy started his career at Georges River FC before a year-long visit to Canada saw him ply his trade with Collingwood United.

Returning back home, Cameron continued his youth football with Bangor Brumbies followed by a move to Sutherland Sharks in the NSW NPL where he has played from U12s to first grade.

The midfielder also spent time with English Championship side Ipswich FC as part of the Sutherland Shark’s scholarship program and was named in the Australian U19 squad for the AFC U19 championship qualifiers in Laos.

Cameron made his Wanderers debut as a train-on player against Newcastle Jets in Round 12 of the Foxtel NYL 2014/15 season and became a contracted player ahead of the 2015/16 season.
