Born in Sydney, Casey started her youth footballing career in Queensland where she spent junior years on the books of Robina SC, Burleigh SC and Palm Beach.

Following progression to the senior ranks at the NPL Queensland side the promising shot stopper became a regular presence for the Young Matildas, making over 20 appearances for the national side before her full international debut in 2015.

Five years earlier, Casey was a part of the Matildas’ victorious AFC Women’s Asian Cup campaign and 2011 FIFA World Cup squad as she played her club football at Brisbane Roar. It was at Brisbane where she won the Premiership and Championship double in the Westfield W-League’s inaugural season.

Casey won the championship again with the Roar in 2010/11, finishing her stint at the Brisbane club in 2013 after nearly half a century of appearances. A move back to Sydney prevailed as Casey linked up with Sydney FC for the 2013/14 season before spending last campaign recovering from a serious ACL injury sustained in a pre-World Cup friendly against New Zealand in 2015.

One of the Westfield W-League’s most successful players having played in the Grand Final or Semi-Final of every season she has played in, Casey was announced as a Wanderers player on 7 September 2016 and made her Red & Black debut against Perth Glory in Round 1 of the Westfield W-League 2016/17 season.
