The 18-year-old defender joins the club this season after plying her trade in the National Premier League with Illawarra Stingrays.

For Chauvet, the experience at the Wanderers this season is one that she’s grateful for.

“It’s my first year in the W-League setup so I’m really excited and I’m grateful for the opportunity,” said Chauvet.

“I’m a centre-back so I played with Caitlin Cooper, Danika Matos, and Chloe Middleton. I’ve always wanted to play in the W-League from day dot but I was so grateful, it’s the best opportunity.

Chauvet and the Red & Black will open the season on 27 December in a historic double header at Bankwest Stadium with the Wander Women taking on Melbourne Victory.

“I’m really excited for this season, hopefully, I can bring something to the team that’s different,” said Margaux.

“I’m definitely just going to try and do my best, I can’t wait to play with the girls.

“I think we’ve got a really good team. I think just the first couple of days, the energy is amazing and I’m just really excited just to be with all the girls and just put in our best effort. “
