Wanderers Westfield W-League new signing Libby Copus-Brown is ready to step out of her comfort zone and take her game to the next level this season.

The 22-year-old has spent the last seven years at Newcastle Jets and is ready to embrace whatever opportunities come her way at the Red & Black this season.

“I think it’s a good time in my career to step out of my comfort zone and really challenge myself in a new environment under a new coach and around new players so I can continue to develop as a player,” explained Copus-Brown.

“Personally, all I want to do is continue to grow as a player and push myself to be better and I think this is the perfect opportunity to be able to do that.

“As for the team, like any player, I want to win. I want to be the best I can to help the team as much as I possibly can to ensure that we are playing in the Finals.”

Copus-Brown knows what to expect from the Wanderers having played against the club at Bankwest Stadium last season.

“Being an opposition player last season, we always knew that the Wanderers were going to be a tough game and they were a quality team to play against,” said Copus-Brown.

“They had some unreal players last year and really made a statement in the league.

“I’ve heart nothing but good things about hte club and it’s probably one of the biggest clubs we have here in Australia, so I’m excited to be part of it.”

The youngster was named the National Premier League Women’s Grand Final Player of the Match and will no doubt be a force to be reckoned with this Westfield W-League season.
