Growing up in Pymble, Daniel began football at the age of four with Sacred Heart Pymble before moving to Pymble West.
Of an Italian background, Daniel gained selection in the Ku-ring-gai representative squad and then joined the Football NSW development pathway where he spent five years training and playing in the state team.
Daniel joined Wanderers prior to the 2013/14 Foxtel National Youth League season and made such an impact he began training with the first team and made his Hyundai A-League debut at 16 years of age against Sydney FC in Round 14.
Following an impressive debut season the defender signed a two year contract with the first team on 21 May 2014, leaving the club on 1 June 2016 at the conclusion of his contract.
