With our Wander Women finishing the year in devastating form we had a chat to some of our stars to find out what 2014 has in store for them individually.

Catherine Cannuli

What is your New Year-s Resolution?
To spend more down time with my family; life is going way too quickly!

What was your resolution last year?
To keep fit and get another Westfield W-League season in! It-s going well so far; I-m injury free and second in the Golden Boot standings!

What-s happening this year?
A long holiday once the season is over!

Predictions for the FIFA World Cup?
I will be watching every game; most matches I will watch either at Darling Harbour or at the Star. It-s a tough group for Australia but as we-re going in as the underdog we might be able to cause some upsets.

What is your New Year-s Resolution?
My New Year-s resolution is to pass all my subjects at university this year whilst balancing training and playing football. This is my resolution as I always think it is good to have something to fall back on after soccer, especially as a female athlete.

What was your resolution last year?
My 2013 resolution was to make the Young Matildas squad for the World Cup Qualifiers in China, which fortunately I achieved.

What-s happening this year?
I-ll be travelling to Europe in 2014 in between university semesters.

Looking forward to the AFC Women-s Asian Cup?
The Matildas squad is looking promising with a lot of youth however a lot of experience as well. I hope that they will qualify for the World Cup and then do well there in Canada. A major goal of mine is to make the Matildas in the future.

Predictions for the FIFA World Cup?
I will be watching the World Cup in France so I-m hoping France will make the finals! I think Australia has a very hard task ahead of them but I am looking forward to watching them play against quality competition.

What is your New Year-s Resolution?
To have a healthy and happy year. Try and make good choices and keep myself positive

What was your resolution last year?
I didn’t have one. I don’t really do them but I always aim to have positive year.

What-s happening this year?
I-ll be going on a Mid-year family holiday. It’s also a big year for the Matildas with World Cup and Olympic qualifiers.

Looking forward to the AFC Women-s Asian Cup?
I think the team is looking really good coming off the last few internationals we had this year. Going to the AFC Asian Cup as reigning champions gives us a good level of confidence and a desire to work hard to bring home the trophy again.

Predictions for the FIFA World Cup?
I-ll probably be home in Sydney watching with friends and family. It will be a challenging group especially having the current World Cup champions Spain to play.

Georgia Rowntree

What is your New Year-s Resolution?
My New Year-s resolution is to make the most of 2014 by seizing as many opportunities as possible.

What was your resolution last year?
My New Year-s resolution for 2013 was to do well in my final year of school which I successfully achieved.

What-s happening this year?
I-ll be moving into the new world of university study!

Predictions for the FIFA World Cup?
I will certainly be watching the Socceroos compete in the World Cup though I-m not sure where I-ll be at this stage. Hopefully they can surprise everyone and do well in such a tough group.
