Foxtel Y-League Preview: Wanderers v Newcastle

On Saturday evening, the Wanderers Foxtel Y-League squad will head to Valentine Sports Park for the final game of the season against Newcastle Jets.

The Red & Black have a good recent record against the Jets with only one loss in the last five meetings.

The defence will need to watch out for Kosta Petratos who scored four times for the Jets in their 5-3 win over Canberra on Sunday, taking his tally to eight goals for the campaign and making him the joint top scorer in the Foxtel Y-League.

For the Wanderers, new signing Dauntae Mariner will be one to look out for after a solid debut on the weekend.

The forward recently joined the Wanderers Academy from Brisbane Roar and has also spent time with Blackburn Rovers and Portuguese club Vizela. A Samoa Under-17 international, Mariner turns 20 on the day of the game against Newcastle.

Jamie Percevski is another player worth keeping an eye on.

The 19-year-old initially joined the Red & Black after playing junior football for Sutherland Sharks and Bankstown City.

Following a spell in Germany with the Fortuna Dusseldorf youth team, the towering central defender is now back in Australia for his second stint with the Wanderers.
