Thumbnail

E-League analyst Tyler ‘Gazzalinga’ Gillespie returns with his weekly predictions and analysis ahead of Round 4 of the E-League.

Watch E-League Round 4 live from 7pm (AEDT) on Thursday on Fox Sports Digital and the E-League Australia Twitch channel.

Sydney FC vs. Wellington Phoenix
PS4 – xMarkoHD  4 -2 Fweshest
Sydney FC will be looking to continue their hot run of form with xMarkoHD still undefeated. They also will be hoping xMarkoHD executes a dominant performance to get them off to a great start in the  tie. However, Fweshest still has an aura of surprise about him after putting in some decent performances. This match may be closer than what people think.
XBOX – Samer96 3 – 2 Justmanutd12
Both Samer96_ and Justmanutd12 have shown glimpses of what they can both deliver in the E-League and round 4 could be the time one of them starts to gain a bit more momentum and consistency. Based on current form, it seems Samer96_ could take this one out, resulting in a clean sweep for Sydney FC.
Sydney FC to win 7-4 on aggregate

Newcastle Jets vs. Melbourne Victory
PS4 –  BLFifa 2 – 2 MouadZwed
BLFifa and MouadZwed will be looking to earn their teams’ first points of the E-League after Newcastle Jets & Melbourne Victory failed to salvage any points from the first three rounds. Both competitors have proved that they can put in solid performances, but have also shown vulnerability when under pressure. This game will go down to the wire and a draw seems likely.
XBOX  – Hickory 3 – 1 ALCATRAZZ_2025
Hickory looks to be the stronger of the two players in this tie, and may prove himself the victor in this match. After Melbourne Victory Hyundai A-League duties rules Mitch Austin out of Round 3, Austin may be lacking the LAN event experience he definitely needs to gain any momentum in the E-League.
Newcastle Jets to gain their first points of the E-League with a  5 – 3 win in aggregate

Adelaide United F.C. vs. Perth Glory
PS4 – vDreamzShooter 2 – 3 Saisanas
Saisanas was the one to watch in the E-League up until his loss to KyrenFIFA in Round 3. Saisanas will be looking to put his disappointment aside and get back to winning ways when he faces off against vDreamzShooter. vDreamzShooter comes into this tie with momentum after a strong win against Brisbane’s ol_Mate_ in Round 3. This match is poised to be one of the closest of the round and may see Saisanas come back into the limelight in a tight victory.
XBOX – Futwiz Jamie 3 – 1 Highfly
After the very public victory over Roar’s Cripsy, FUTWIZ Jamie will be looking to keep his momentum going against Highfly, who is hoping to find his feet in the competition in Round 4. Jamie will need to remain focused if he is to take help Adelaide take out the 3 points.
Adelaide United to get across the line with a tight 5-4 win on aggregate

Central Coast Mariners vs. Western Sydney Wanderers

PS4– KyrenFIFA 2- 1 RDoublettt
King Gupta has proven himself as one of the leading competitors in the E-League’s PS4 division, consistently proving himself against any potential doubters with strong victories. RDoublettt has had a decent run of form, but he may struggle against one of the most in-form players in the competition.
XBOX– StrawHatCamels 2 – 4 OhNoAGoat
OhNoAGoat comes into this match in good form, showcasing good individual performances against strong opponents in recent weeks. As StrawHat Camels aims to find his momentum in the tournament, OhNoAGoat may fancy himself to get his team over the line in this tie.
WSW to win 4-5 on aggregate

Brisbane Roar vs. Melbourne City
PS4 – ol_Mate_ 2 – 3 Joshingwood
Joshingwood and Ol_Mate_ have both shown promising sides to their games, however both have struggled for form so far in the E-League. As a result, this match could prove a good opportunity for both competitors to prove themselves to any doubters they may have acquired in the last three rounds. This match could go either way, but ol_Mate_ may just prove to have the extra edge.

XBOX – Cripsy 2 – 3 SoccerStar00777
Marcus Gomes has been one of the stars of the E-League so far. Despite showing glimpses of why he is rated one of the best in the oceanic region, Gomes did display a lack of concentration against MouadZwed last week as he struggled to put the game away. Whereas, Cripsy suffered his first loss of the E-League against a dominant FUTWIZ Jamie. Alongside the match win, it seems Jamie was able to rattle  Cripsy online; undoubtedly affecting his match performance. Last weeks loss would be affecting Cripsy’s confidence coming into this tie against Marcus, and he may struggle to salvage any points in this round for his team.
Melbourne City to take the points with a 4 – 6 win on aggregate
