Born in Khartoum, Sudan, Golgol began his football journey when his family made the move to Brisbane as refugees.

Starting out with Brisbane Olympic the attacker’s pace and silky movement saw him move to Brisbane Strikers where he scored his first Hyundai A-League contract with Gold Coast United.

Following the demise of GCU, the Australian U23 representative joined Melbourne Heart before being announced as a mid-season AFC Champions League signing for the Western Sydney Wanderers on 4 February 2014.

With Tahj Minniecon ruled out for the rest of the Hyundai A-League 2013/14 season, Golgol was promoted to the A-League squad as an injury-replacement player and made his debut against Sydney FC in Round 22. It was to be an ill-fated day as after six minutes on the pitch Golgol’s first season with the Wanderers was over following MCL and ACL injuries.

Golgol made his long-awaited return to the pitch in Round 27 against Perth Glory following 413 days injured. He scored his debut goal for the Red & Black in his first start for almost two seasons when he slotted the winner in a 1-0 victory over Brisbane Roar in the Round of 32 of the 2014 Westfield FFA Cup.

Golgol departed the Wanderers at the conclusion of his contract on Thursday 5 May 2016.
