HAL: Ins & Outs for New Year’s Day

Markus Babbel has named his extended squad for Round 10 of the Hyundai A-League against Melbourne City on New Year’s Day.

Coming off a draw away to Adelaide United on Boxing Day, the Wanderers will look to start the new year in winning ways against City.

Vedran Janjetovic will return from his one week suspension, however it was his 18 year old understudy Nick Suman who turned heads in Round 9 making his A-League debut.

One starlet that will be out to prove himself is Bruce Kamau, who made the move from the Victorian side this season, netted his first goal of the campaign in his hometown at Coopers Stadium only a week ago and will look to bring that momentum to ANZ Stadium.

Youngsters Mathieu Cordier, Tass Mourdoukoutas and Tate Russell all feature in Markus Babbel’s extended squad, whilst Josh Risdon has departed for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup in the UAE with the Caltex Socceroos.
