HAL: Ins & Outs for Saturday’s match against City

Josep Gombau has named his squad for Saturday’s Hyundai A-League Round 24 match against Melbourne City at AAMI Park.

There are four additions to the squad with Kearyn Baccus, Marc Tokich and Kosta Grozos promoted, while Oriol Riera returns from injury to join the extended squad.

After a week off to prepare for the match, the Wanderers will be looking to build on their previous result against Wellington Phoenix to push themselves up on the ladder.

Riera’s return to the squad will add another attacking dimension to the Wanderers front-thrid with the marquee man scoring eight goals in 2018, the second-most of any player in the competition. The Spaniard also comes into the clash against City having scored in each of his last three appearances on the road for the club.

Academy players Kosta Grozos and Marc Tokich are also in line to make their Hyundai A-League debut for the club.

With just three matches remaining for the Wanderers after Saturday’s fixture – the last two being at home against Brisbane and Adelaide – every point is precious as teams clamour for a finals spot.
