The Western Sydney Wanderers are proud to announce that House with No Steps has signed on as the front-of-shirt partner for the club’s Powerchair team.
House with No Steps are one of Australia’s leading disability service providers, supporting both equality and inclusion to ensure that people with disabilities are given the respect and opportunities that they deserve.
The partnership is a Powerchair first, with the Wanderers being the only club with a front-of-shirt sponsor.
House with No Steps have also extended the sponsorship to include coach Robert Wright.
Gemma Cooney from House with No Steps says that partnership is all about supporting and ensuring that the team feels a sense of inclusion in the community.
"It's really about all the team and listening to their stories about what they have had to overcome to get here today," said Gemma.
"We want to see people enjoying themselves and being part of the community and not segregated.”
Abdullah Karim was also presented the 2016 Powerchair Player of the Year award after a fantastic season for the Red & Black.
The Wanderers will look to continue their Championship defence when they host Sydney FC in Round 3 of the season on Saturday afternoon at Kevin Betts Stadium.
