KEEPER

Lawrence Thomas (Victory)

Pulled off a super save in the first half and could do little to stop Broxham’s OG against Phoenix on Sunday. Another solid display from one of the league’s best keepers.

DEFENCE

Alex Grant (Glory)

Returned to Perth’s starting XI in Newcastle and looked like he’d never left, making a game-high nine clearances and barely giving Roy O’Donovan a sniff.

Bart Schenkeveld (City)

Pace and power. The Dutch central defender has it in spades. And against Central Coast showed why he’s one of the best imports this season.

Dylan Fox (Phoenix)

Marshaled the backline superbly against Berisha and Co. Alongside Durante, Fox is really developing this season and showed that quality on Sunday with a huge display.

MIDFIELD

Neil Kilkenny (Glory)

One of the key reasons Kenny Lowe’s men are still in the hunt for sixth, Kilkenny was exceptional in the win over the Jets as he gained possession on a team-high 10 occasions.

Luke Brattan (City)

Another masterful display from City’s central midfielder who’s having a very, very good season. Was crucial in the 1-0 over Mariners with his wicked delivery from set pieces.

WINGERS

Diego Castro (Glory)

The Spanish wizard helped Glory established an early stranglehold on Friday night, converting a ninth-minute penalty and providing the defence-splitting pass that led to the second.

Alvaro Cejudo (WSW)

The second week in a row the Spanish winger made a big impression for the Wanderers. He is hitting form at the right time. Was a constant outlet against Roar.

Riera

FORWARDS

Bobo (Sydney FC)

Two super goals and a lovely assist for the opener. Bobo bossed the 3-0 win for the Sky Blues over Adelaide United.

Kenjok Athiu (Victory)

You want your subs to make an impact. That’s exactly what “King Kenny” did on Sunday. A stunning cameo that saw him win a pen and power home the winner.

Oriol Riera (WSW)

Two early goals for the former La Liga striker blew away Roar. His movement and finishing caused the Brisbane central defensive duo problems all night.

MANAGER OF THE ROUND

Kenny Lowe (Glory)

Glory love playing in Newcastle and their 2-0 win was another masterclass from Kenny’s crew as they maintain their push for sixth.
