Ins & Outs: Canberra v Wanderers

Dean Heffernan

Head coach Dean Heffernan has named his extended squad for tonight’s match against Canberra United at Viking Park.

Western Sydney head to the nation’s capital this weekend to take on high flying Canberra United at Viking Park in their fifth match of the 2020/21 Westfield W-League season.

The Wander Women will be looking to prove the critics wrong after last weekend’s disappointing 4-1 loss to the Newcastle Jets.

A spectacular strike from Georgia Yeoman-Dale wasn’t enough as the Red & Black suffered their third loss in four outings to start the season.

Canberra United are unbeaten so far this season and sit in third position with two wins and two draws from their four games.

Canberra drew 1-1 with Perth Glory on Sunday as Vicki Linton’s team battled extreme heat to secure a valuable point.
