Markus Babbel has named his squad for Saturday night’s Hyundai A-League clash against Newcastle Jets at McDonald Jones Stadium. Sign-up to MATE, internet made by football fans, for football fans.

The Hunter club may be five points and five places below the Wanderers on the ladder but will probably head into this one in a confident mood.

Ernie Merrick’s side beat Western United 1-0 in their most recent match and have had a full two weeks to prepare for this one at McDonald Jones Stadium.

After winning their first three games, the Wanderers have picked up just one point from their last three, including a 3-2 loss at home to Melbourne City last Friday.

Though it’s not all doom and gloom for the Red & Black who put in a fantastic shift against the league leaders but just fell short in the final seconds.

Babbel’s men will also be buoyed by the return of central defender Matthew Jurman, who was sidelined by injury.
