Ins & outs for Saturday’s match against Melbourne Victory

Tony Popovic has named his squad for Saturday’s blockbuster against Melbourne Victory at ANZ Stadium.

You can still purchase tickets to the match here.

Two players have been added from Round 9’s 4-1 win against the Central Coast Mariners, with defender Shannon Cole and goalkeeper Nick Suman named in the 16-man squad.

Following Jerrad Tyson’s dismissal, 16-year-old Suman will step up from the Foxtel National Youth League side to play understudy to Andrew Redmayne.

The Hawkesbury local kept a clean sheet over the weekend in the Foxtel National Youth League and will no doubt relish the opportunity to be involved in the first-team environment on such a big occasion.

The Victory travel to Western Sydney sitting in third place, just three points ahead of the sixth placed Wanderers.

The Wanderers will be keen to reverse the 3-0 defeat they suffered at the hands of the Victory in Round 6 at Etihad Stadium.

The Victory are coming off last week’s 1-1 draw at home against Perth Glory. The Wanderers, like their opponents, are in the midst of a three-game unbeaten run and will be buoyed by their 4-1 away to the Mariners last weekend; their second of the campaign.
