Western Sydney Wanderers and Newcastle Jets will play out the next chapter of a growing rivalry when the two sides meet at Bankwest Stadium tomorrow night.

The two sides first met in Matchweek 3 when ex-Jets boss Carl Robinson travelled to McDonald Jones Stadium and take all three points from a hotly-contested fixture between his new and former side.

Now Robinson prepares to welcome Craig Deans and the Jets to Wanderland, intent on taking maximum points once again from the second fixture between the teams this season.

Newcastle earned their first points of the season in Matchweek 5 with a gutsy 2-1 win over Wellington Phoenix. Striker Roy O’Donovan scored his 50th A-League goal while attacking partner Valentino Yuel continued to excel, netting for the third time in as many A-League games.

The Wanderers, meanwhile, come into the fixture with fresh legs having not featured in the league since Matchweek 4 – Robinson’s side last won against current league leaders Central Coast Mariners, handing the Red & Black plenty of confidence to build on a three-game unbeaten run.
