It seems like an eternity, but the Hyundai A-League pre-season is just about done and dusted and there are just a few more sleeps before the Wanderers kick off their eighth season.

An opening game against traditional rivals Central Coast Mariners will see the Red & Black return to Parramatta on Saturday 12  October after three years in the wilderness, away from their spiritual home of Wanderland.

Babbel has named a full strength squad for the homecoming celebration with all of the Red & Black’s new signings named – Daniel Lopar, Dylan McGowan, Daniel Georgievski, Matthew Jurman, Alex Meier, Pirmin Schwegler and Nicholas Sullivan.

Wanderers captain Mitchell Duke is also set to make his return from injury as well as defender Patrick Ziegler.

The Wanderers will only be missing Tate Russell who is overseas with the Australian Under-23s.
