Western Sydney are winless in two after a heavy defeat to City preceded a 1-1 draw with Brisbane Roar on Saturday, April 3. Carl Robinson’s side sit in fifth on the table leading into their meeting with the Mariners, and will need to register three points to keep pace with the Top Four sides.
The Mariners clinched a typically dramatic win over Adelaide United earlier in Matchweek 15, overcoming a one-goal deficit to win 2-1 and strengthen their position on top of the A-League table.
The Wanderers and Mariners met in Matchweek 4, when the Red & Black clinched a 1-0 win on the road. The Wanderers can jump to within three points of Central Coast by making a return to winning ways on Tuesday night.
