Ins & Outs: Wanderers v Wellington

Hyundai A-League head coach Jean-Paul de Marigny has named his squad for the Wanderers clash against Wellington Phoenix at Bankwest Stadium tomorrow night. Sign-up to MATE, internet from $59, mobile from $20. 1 month risk free guarantee!

It’s been a shaky start to the Red & Black’s restart campaign after they earned a late draw against wooden-spooners Central Coast Mariners in wet conditions on Monday night.

Striker Simon Cox was the hero, coming off the bench to snatch the equaliser to secure what could be a priceless point for Jean-Paul de Marigny’s men and their Finals push.

Wellington Phoenix faced a similar fate in their most recent match against Adelaide United with the score locked in at 1-1.

Former Wanderer Jaushua Sotirio levelled five minutes after Kristian Opseth had put Adelaide ahead on the hour mark with the draw lifting Phoenix ahead of Melbourne City into second place.

It’s a must win match for the Red & Black with Jean-Paul de Marigny naming a full-strength extended squad with Bruce Kamau, Nick Sullivan and Fabian Monge promoted for this fixture.
