Born in Western Australia, Jack Clisby began his career at Sorrento FC before enjoying several years in the NPL with Balcatta, Perth SC and Inglewood United.

He joined Perth Glory in 2012 as a promising and versatile young defender, emerging late in a disappointing season for Glory making six appearances in the Hyundai A-League 2012/13 season.

The following campaign under Kenny Lowe would prove to be one in which Clisby enjoyed consistent first-team action, making 18 appearances and 15 starts as Perth finished eighth on the ladder.

The defender moved to Melbourne City midway through the 2014/15 season and eventually became a regular name on the team sheet with Clisby over two season with John v’ant Schip’s side.

A sound attacking fullback capable of shoring up the centre of defence as well, Clisby joined the Wanderers on Friday 12 August signing a two-year deal.

Clisby became an integral part of the Wanderers defence making 30 appearances across competitions in his first season for the Red & Black.
