Jurman departs

Western Sydney Wanderers FC have today confirmed the departure of defender Matthew Jurman who leaves for an overseas opportunity.

The Dapto Soccer Club junior arrived in Western Sydney at the start of the 2019/20 season after a three-year stint overseas with Suwon Samsung Bluewings and Saudi Arabian giants Al-Ittihad.

Jurman went on to make 24 appearances for the club and will now depart for an overseas opportunity.

The defender thanked the club for their support over the last year.

“I just want to say thank you to my teammates, staff, the members and fans for making me feel part of the Wanderers family and always supporting me,” said Jurman.

“It was an honour to play for the Red & Black and I wish the club all the success in the future.”

Western Sydney Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas thanked Jurman for his contribution to the club.

“We thank Matthew for his contribution last season and wish him every success at his new overseas opportunity.”

The club wishes Jurman all the best in the future.
