Western Sydney Wanderers are proud to host the 2014 Australian Finals of the Manchester United Premier Cup (MUPC) over the weekend of 10-11 May at Blacktown Football Park.

Sutherland Sharks, Campbelltown City (SA), Beachside FC (TAS), Perth SC (WA) and Waitakere City will all battle it out with the winners earning a place at the 2014 World Finals.

Since 2003 the World Finals have been held in various places globally including the United States, Hong Kong and Manchester, England. Preliminary competition will be staged at Manchester United-s first team-s Carrington training ground, with the Grand Final to be played in the Theatre of Dreams itself, Old Trafford.

The MUPC started in the UK as a regional tournament in 1993. With a combined passion for the game, Manchester United Football Club and Nike joined forces in 2003 and the MUPC has now grown into one of the largest and most highly regarded football events of its kind. Over one million players have taken part in the competition this year with over 9,000 teams from more than 40 countries competing for a place at the 2014 World Finals.

The search to find the world-s best U15s teams from around the globe to compete at this year-s World Finals is now well and truly underway – and by the end of this weekend one of the five teams here today will have earned the once in a lifetime opportunity to represent Australia and New Zealand on the global MUPC stage. The World Finals will take place between 6-9 August 2014

The first match kicks-off at 9:30am on Saturday with the final at 1pm on Sunday.
