Matthew began his career in 2003 at Roselands FC, spending a year with the Raptors before continuing his development at Lugarno FC.
The striker spent a further three seasons with Lugarno before joining Rockdale City suns in 2008 where he has spent the next few years, featuring in two state titles with NSW Metro East in 2012 and 2013.
Matthew joined Wanderers Academy side in 2016 and impressed quickly enough to be called into training with the Foxtel National Youth League team before making his NYL debut against Mariners in Round 6 of the 2015/16 season.
