Member Committee Meeting Summary

The Western Sydney Wanderers held their second Member Committee meeting on Monday night, discussing all recent suggestions and concerns from Members.

As always, Members wishing to put forward views or items for discussion at the next Member Committee meeting can do so by emailing  membercommittee@wswanderersfc.com.au.

Although there were a few Member Committee absentees, CEO John Tsatsimas welcomed the attending Members and began the discussion surrounding the events that occurred at the Wanderers Round 21 clash against Sydney FC.

Members brought up the current policing and security protocol at both ANZ and Spotless Stadium to gain a better understanding of the random security checks, pat down procedures and bag checks Members must go through at every home match.

The discussion then covered the obligations, rights and expectations the Committee must uphold and their duty of being another connection between the wider Membership base and the club.

The final mechanics of the seating transition to the new Western Sydney Stadium were discussed and feedback was received from the Member Committee to ensure that the system in place will be the fairest and most efficient process for Members.

Following these topics, the Committee then had an open discussion around the expansion of the Hyundai A-League, increased organised trips for travelling fans next season and a more practical way to provide the Wanderers match day magazine ‘The Wanderer’.

The final Member Committee meeting will be held at the end of the season with Members and Wanderers representatives reviewing the season from a Members perspective.

Following this, applications will once again open for Members to be part of the Members Committee for season 2018/19.
