Born in Sydney, Michael began his career at Rockdale City in the U5s through to U7s before joining Peakhurst United up until the U11s.
In 2008, Michael began to ply his trade at St George FC, playing with the representative team until 2010 when he joined Sydney Olympic.

He then continued at Olympic and would feature at almost every grade: from U13s to NPL. In 2014, Olympic won the NPL 16s grand final with Michael netting a brace.

The forward made his Hyundai A-League debut in season 2014/15, coming off the bench in the 85th minute in Round 13’s 0-0 draw with Central Coast Mariners.
