Nix v Wanderers | Match Preview

Playing for the first time as Asian Champions, we take on Wellington Phoenix at Westpac Stadium tomorrow.

Kicking-off at 5:30pm, you can watch live coverage on Fox Sports 4.

With Brendon Santalab out with injury it could mean a first appearance for striker Nikita Rukavytsya while Matthew Spiranovic is also inline for his first start since the World Cup.

Mark Bridge will be looking to break a personal record by scoring in three-successive Hyundai A-League matches for the first time in his career following goals against Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC.

The team itself though will be hoping history does not change as we have a great record against the Nix having only lost once to them in our history, including only conceding a single goal in the three matches we’ve played at Westpac.

Wellington meanwhile are looking shaky in defence having conceded 36 goals in their past 16 matches with a total of zero clean sheets in that time.

Due to fixtures being moved to accommodate our participation in the Champions League, we have played two matches less than most of our rivals and will look to close the competition point gap starting tomorrow.

Make sure you’re turning in on Fox Sports 4 from 5:30pm when we take on Wellington Phoenix in Round 5 of the Hyundai A-League.
