The Wanderers Academy National Premier League 1 first grade team will travel to Lambert Park on Saturday night to take on Sydney Olympic.

The Red & Black head into the match after a frustrating loss to Wollongong Wolves at a windy Albert Butler Memorial Park last week.

The windy conditions made life difficult for both sides, as neither could control the game. This made for a fairly end-to-end match with Wollongong Wolves having the better of the chances.

Captain and Foxtel Y-League Player of the Year Mohamed Al-Taay has been putting in some great shifts in the first grade competition this season and will be one to watch against a challenging Olympic side come Saturday night.

A solid defender who is capable of playing in midfield, Al-Taay played his junior football for Marconi Stallions and Blacktown City before joining the Wanderers Academy.

Sydney Olympic head into the match after a frustrating 1-1 draw against North Shore Mariners and will be relying heavily on experienced forwards Fabio Ferreira and Charles Lokolingoy to be the difference against the Red & Black.

It’s set to be a very important match for Olympic who need a win both of their remaining matches to give them the best opportunity of finishing the regular season at the top of the table.
