The Western Sydney Wanderers will be looking to cement their place in the top six when they travel to Lynwood Park to take on Macarthur Rams on Saturday night.

The Wanderers won 4-2 in their previous meeting with Macarthur after goals from Jordan Hall, Oliver Puflett and a double from Kyle Cimenti secured the three points.

Macarthur will be hoping to bounce back after their 2-1 loss to Rydalmere Lions last weekend.

Despite currently occupying 12th place on the NSW NPL 2 table, the Rams are likely to be a tough opponent for the Red & Black.

They have registered big wins in each of their last two home games, scoring eight goals in the process.

Macarthur’s main threat will be ex-Futsalroo Mark Symington, who is their top scorer with six goals in ten games.

For the Wanderers, Perry Fotakopoulos could be one to watch. The 19-year-old midfielder, who represented Australia at the Under-17 World Cup in 2015, joined the Wanderers Academy this year after previously playing for the FFA Centre of Excellence.

After impressing in the Academy’s U20 side, Fotakopoulos made his debut in the NPL 2 first grade last Sunday against Parramatta FC.

Oliver Puflett is another player that is sure to make an impact come Saturday. The former Sydney Olympic player joined the Academy’s U18 side in 2016 and became a first-grade regular last year.

Still only 18, Puflett is able to operate on either wing as a centre forward and has also payed for the Young Socceroos.
