The Western Sydney Wanderers will travel to Valentine Sports Park on Saturday night to play against Spirit FC.

After a tough match last round against Bankstown City, the Red & Black will be fighting to ensure that they secure the three points this weekend against Spirit FC.

Spirit FC head coach David Perkovic has a wealth of experience both coaching in the NSW NPL 2 and overseas.

Perkovic has a team filled with attacking threats with ten different players finding the net for them this season.

Despite currently being in 12th position, Spirit FC have had some good results so far including a 3-1 victory over 2nd place North Tigers, as well as a 4-0 victory over Macarthur Rams.

The last time these two sides met, the Wanderers were pushed until the very end before securing a 4-3 victory, thanks to a double from Abraham Majok plus goals from Mario Shabow and Tariq Maia.

Wanderers midfielder Matthew Lecce is one to watch after scoring last round taking his tally to three goals this season.

Matthew joined the Wanderers Academy in 2016 with the U20s and after some impressive performances has become a regular starter in the NPL 2 squad this year.

Defender Tate Russell is also another Wanderers player who ahs moved up through the grades.

After initially being selected for the U18s squad in 2016, Tate broke into the NPL 2 squad at the end of last season.

Following the promotion of Keanu Baccus to the Hyundai A-League squad, Russell has filled the gap regularly playing at right back.
