NPL Preview: St George vs Wanderers

The Western Sydney Wanderers will be looking to bounce back after their first loss of the NPL 2 season when they take on St George at Seymour Shaw Park on Saturday night.

The Red & Black will be keen to reclaim their spot at the top of the table after last round’s frustrating 2-1 loss against Northern Tigers FC.

It was the Wanderers’ first blemish of an otherwise fantastic season and they’ll be aiming to return to the winners circle against a ninth-placed St George outfit.

Trevor Morgan will be hoping to recall striker Abraham Majok after the youngster featured in the Wanderers’ Hyundai A-League match against Adelaide last week.

St George will be coming into the match on the back of a 2-1 victory over Bankstown Berries last week, they could be facing some fatigue after a 3-2 loss to SD Raiders in the FFA Cup on Wednesday night.

The Club has had mixed results so far this season having won three and lost four of their seven matches so far this season.

A win for the Wanderers would keep the pressure on league leaders Marconi Stallions, who face Spirit FC on Saturday night also.
