The Western Sydney Wanderers have qualified for both the U18 and U20 Grand Finals in the NPL 2.

Both Grand Final matches will be played on Sunday at Sydney United Sports Centre. The U18s kick-off at 10:00am whilst the U20s kick-off at 12:30pm.

The Wanderers U18 team progressed to the decided after defeating Northern Tigers last Saturday.

Anthony Vastag kept up his great goalscoring form in the clash scoring twice to reach the 15 goal mark for his campaign.

Alexander Lopez was also on target against the Tigers and has now scored five goals in his last five games.

Whilst he didn’t get on the scoresheet last Saturday, Dylan Ruiz-Diaz will also be one to watch for the Wanderers, with the forward looking to add to his season tally of 21 goals.

The Wanderers U18s side will play against Premiers Central Coast Mariners in the Grand Final and will be looking to make amends after losing twice to them during the regular season.

The Mariners have been difficult to beat, having only lost one game on their run to the Grand Final, and have been prolific in front of goal averaging over four goals a game for the entire season.

Central Coast have plenty of goalscoring threats. Top scorer Jed Hornery has found the net 16 times whilst Matthew Cahill, Jarryd Sutherland and Kyle Johnson have also reached double figures.

Meanwhile, the Wanderers U20 side have qualified for Sunday’s Grand Final after a comprehensive 5-0 win over North Shore Mariners.

Kosta Grozos was in sparkling form in that clash scoring a hat trick and grabbing an assist.

The young attacking midfielder recovered well after suffering an injury which kept him out of action for almost four months.

Grozos has also had experience with the NPL 2 1st Grade team, scoring six goals in ten games.

The Wanderers U20 squad will play against Northern Tigers. The Tigers finished the regular season in 1st place and recorded their 15th consecutive victory after a 3-1 triumph over Hills Brumbies in last weekend’s Semi Final.

The Tigers are led by NPL 2 U20s top scorer Claudio Rosano who has scored 21 times this campaign.

Entry to both Grand Finals is free.
