The Western Sydney Wanderers U18 and U20 squads will return to Lily Homes Stadium on Saturday to contest their NPL 2 Grand Finals after both sides were victorious at the same venue last weekend.

The Wanderers U18s squad comfortable defeated Mt Druitt Town Rangers 3-0 on Saturday and will face Central Coast Mariners in a rematch of last year’s extraordinary Grand Final, which the Wanderers won 8-1.

However, with a win and a loss against the Mariners this season, the match is expected to be very close contest.

U18s captain Yousef Sawalha will be one to watch after an excellent performance in the Semi Final.

The attacking midfielder played a part in two of the Wanderers’ goals on Saturday and he also chipped in with seven goals this season.

Michael Osei-Adomako is another player who has found some good form recently.

He is the top scorer for the Wanderers U18s with 15 goals this year, including goals in each of his four last games.

Meanwhile, the Wanderers U20 side will face Hills United after a nailbiting penalty shootout win over Mt Druitt Town Rangers.

Another tight game is expected following on from a 2-1 win and 1-0 loss against Hills during the season.

A number of players stood out for the U20s on Saturday.

Alexander Lopez and Jarrod Carluccio both hit the back of the net to take their tally for the season to nine goals each, while Rory Jordan bagged a double.

At the other end of the field, centreback Thomas McPherson made a number of crucial interventions, and he will be vital in marshalling the Wanderers defence.
