The Western Sydney Wanderers NPL 2 team will host Central Coast Mariners at Sydney United Sports Centre on Saturday night.

The Western Sydney Wanderers NPL 2 team will host Central Coast Mariners at Sydney United Sports Centre on Saturday night.

The Red & Black will be looking to build some momentum in the match after securing a point against North Shore Mariners last weekend.

Central Coast currently occupy sixth place and are coming off the back of a 1-1 draw against St George FC.

The Wanderers will need to watch out for former Wanderers Academy player Dylan Ruiz-Diaz who leads his side with seven goals for the campaign.

For the Red & Black, Lochlan Constable has been a solid performer. Despite only turning 18 a couple of weeks ago, Constable has been involved with the NPL 2 1st Grade team for the last two years and was also part of the Wanderers squad that made this year’s Y-League Grand Final.

A Glenmore Park local, Constable is able to play in both midfield and defence and has only missed one game this season.

Wanderers forward Jake Trew is another player who has been impressive in recent weeks. The former Australian Schoolboys representative joined the Red & Black in 2018, making his debut for the club in Round 4 of the 2018/19 Foxtel Y-League season.

After a suffering an injury setback earlier this year, Trew has been able to force his way into the first-grade side and brings a physical presence to the Wanderers attack.

The Wanderers previous meeting with Central Coast ended in a 2-1 defeat with Mohamed Adam scoring our goal that afternoon.

Entry to this game is free for all Wanderers members.
