The Wanderers continue their premiership tilt against the form club of the NPL 2 on Saturday night at Blacktown Football Park.

KICK-OFF: Western Sydney Wanderers v Fraser Park. 7pm Saturday at Blacktown Football Park

Trevor Morgan’s side retained their one point lead over second placed Sydney FC despite a 3-2 loss to struggling Bankstown Berries last weekend and the Red & Black are to navigate another potential banana skin when they host a Fraser Park team in scintillating form.

The inner-west side were outright last on the competition ladder in Round 14, trailing thirteenth-placed Bankstown Berries by five points, but six wins in their last seven has seen Fraser Park climb into tenth position.

And although their finals chances would still appear remote with six games remaining, the Marrickville outfit are still in the thick of the relegation battle on the club championship ladder and after defeating Marconi in Round 20 there will be no shortage of belief that they could land another scalp in the Wanderers.

Forward Nikola Todoroski has played a vital role in the resurgence of Branko Culina’s side with seven goals in 14 matches this season and will be one for a youthful Wanderers side to marshal closely on Saturday evening, while the likes of Jordan Simpson and Benjamin Vidaic have provided crucial goals in Fraser Parks’s remarkable turnaround in form.
