NPL Wrap: Wanderers downed by Berries

Thumbnail

The Western Sydney Wanderers have gone down 1-0 to Bankstown Berries in their Round 11 NPL 2 clash at Lilys Football Centre on Sunday night.

A lone second half strike by Daniel Di Ruocco sealed an unlikely win for the Berries, as the second-placed Wanderers now find themselves six points off league leaders Marconi Stallions.

The result was the Berries’ second win on the trot and now brings them to within just three points off fifth place in what is a congested NPL 2 ladder.

The Wanderers will look to get things back on track when they host Mounties on Saturday night at Sydney United Sports Centre.
