Western Sydney Wanderers will get a stern test of their Westfield W-League finals credentials when they take on Brisbane Roar on Thursday night in the opening match of Round 3.
The Wanderers – who have never made the Finals Series in their history – have been the surprise-packets of the 2019/20 Season so far.
Dean Heffernan’s new-look squad have started with back-to-back wins, including last week’s 1-0 triumph over Newcastle Jets.
With the likes of imports Lynn Williams, Kristen Hamilton and Denise O’Sullivan settling nicely, there’s plenty of optimism and confidence in the Red and Black ranks.
But this well be a big test against a strong Roar side looking to get off the mark for the season in the clash at Lions FC Stadium.
While Brisbane lost their opener 3-2 against Melbourne Victory in Round 2, Jake Goodship’s squad created plenty of chances and will be better for that run.
This Thursday night clash – Live on Fox Sports – is set to be another entertaining affair.
