The Wanderers are set to face the big guns of the Chinese Super League, Shanghai SIPG, tonight at 10:30pm AEDST in the Asian Champions League.

The game will mark the first time the two sides meet and the first overseas match the Wanderers will play in their 2017 group stage campaign.

The Red Eagles are coming off an impressive 1-0 win away to last year’s semi-finalists FC Seoul away in Match Day 1, with Brazilian ace Hulk grabbing the winner with a sensational 25-yard strike.

Hulk, along with compatriots Oscar and Elkeson all started for Shanghai, along with their homegrown superstar Wu Lei.

Centreback He Guan will miss the clash after his dismissal against FC Seoul.

The Wanderers on the other hand will be coming off the back of a tough loss in the Champions League in an even tougher period where they have played four games in just 15 days.

The Red & Black conceded four goals to Japanese outfit Urawa Red Diamonds on home soil and will be keen to redeem themselves in Shanghai against one of the wealthiest sides in Asia.

The Wanderers are undefeated in their last five games away from home in the continental competition, despite three of those fixtures finishing in nil-all draws, and have scored in every one of their previous six games against Chinese opposition.

Tune in to all the action tonight from 10:30pm (AEDST) on Fox Sports 505.
