After a few weeks off due to injury, defender  Josh Risdon says he’s back to his best and ready for tonight’s match against the Victory.

The match is part of a double header, with the Wanderers and Victory meeting in Round 12 of the Westfield W-League at 5:20pm before the two clubs square off in the Hyundai A-League at 7:50pm.

Tickets to the match are still available here. Remember, kids under 16 go free!

Risdon has been sidelined since the club’s New Year’s Day fixture against Melbourne City where he was substituted off early on in the second half.

It’s been a surprisingly long road to recovery for Risdon who has missed three matches since and is itching to get onto the field for tonight’s clash.

“It was a frustrating injury, I did to myself during the City game,” explained Risdon.

“I just sort of came down and all my weight went on top of my foot. I damaged a few ligaments and had some bone bruising.

“With so many games in a short time, I missed a few more than I would have liked and now I’m feeling pretty good.”

With the Red & Black missing a number of player’s tonight due to departures and selection in the Australian U23 team, Risdon is sure that whoever is chosen to start will put in a good shift.

“It’s good to be back and hopefully I’ll slot into the back four and put in a good performance.

“We’ve got a strong squad and anyone who comes in, I’m sure will do a good job”.
