The Red & Black will be coming into the match on Sunday with confidence after some improved performances and results.

Michael Thwaite says the team will be using the disappointing outcome of the last Sydney Derby as extra motivation to get the win and make amends this Sunday.

“We’re all looking forward to the Sydney Derby,” Thwaite told FOX SPORTS.

“We want to make amends from last time.

“It becomes a lot about revenge, especially what they did to us at our home.”

Derby

The Wanderers have gone undefeated in their last three matches with Thwaite believing the team has finally found their feet under coach Josep Gombau.

“I think that’s always the case when a new coach comes in, new style of play, new philosophy.

“In a nutshell, the last few games under him are exactly the way he wants us to play.

“Slowly we are getting there and we are peaking at the right time.”
