Players with a winning mentality such as Matildas Casey Dumont and Joey Burgess as well as the four American signings means the Red & Black have the potential to achieve this season.

Matches will be split between three venues this season: Marconi Stadium host our first two home matches with Popondetta Park taking three games including the Sydney Derby and Melbourne City.

The club has one home double header this season at Campbelltown Stadium when the Wander Women take on Canberra United and the Hyundai A-League team face Newcastle Jets.

Perth and Campbelltown won’t be the only double headers that the team gets to experience with the team also playing at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle and Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

Head coach Rich Byrne is excited to be leading this team at this club.

“The Wanderers have a great model where every team is important, from the U13s to the first team”, said Byrne.

“There is a family and community vibe here so we’ll make sure that continues in the Westfield W-League team.

“Ideally we’ll be playing the same style of football as the Hyundai A-League team.

The club’s vision is that we want to see a style of play that the club can be proud of. Our aspiration is to have the best Westfield W-League team in the country.”

First Home Game: Sunday 20 November vs Adelaide United at Marconi Stadium. Kick-off 3pm.
