Wanderers add some Pepper to ACL Title Defence

The Western Sydney Wanderers and Pepper Group Australia have today taken another step in their partnership with the announcement that Pepper will feature on the front of the Wanderers 2015 AFC Champions League jersey.

Pepper Group Australia, who specialise in offering home loans and car loans to a wide range of Australian consumers, currently appear on the sleeve of the Wanderers A-League jersey and made the decision to expand their affiliation with the acquisition of the Champions League front-of-shirt position following the Club’s run to the 2014 title.

Launching the announcement, Wanderers and Pepper last night gave three lucky families who had completed a Pepper Home Loan Health Check a surprise visit from players Yojiro Takahagi and Yusuke Tanaka, presenting each family with a 3 Match ACL Family Pass for the upcoming Group Stage matches starting on Wednesday 4 March against Guangzhou Evergrande at Parramatta Stadium.

Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas praised the growth of the Wanderers relationship with Pepper, now in its second year, as a sign of the connection between the two organisations.

“Our relationship with Pepper has grown from strength to strength following our initial agreement in 2013 and now they will take a prominent place on the front-of-shirt for our ACL jersey as we set about the task of defending our Champions League title,” said Mr Tsatsimas.

“The Wanderers and Pepper Group align in many ways both philosophically with our ‘can do’ attitude and through our growth and successes in Asia.

“We look forward to having Pepper on our journey in the ACL this year as we prepare to defend our title.”

Patrick Tuttle, Co-Group CEO of Pepper Group, said Pepper is delighted to take their partnership with the Wanderers to the next level taking the front-of-shirt position for the ACL.

“Our successful long-term partnership with the Wanderers is now into its second year; we’ve grown and connected with fans and broader public during this time, as well as contributed to the club’s sporting and financial success,” said Mr Tuttle.

“The opportunity to further support the Wanderers and take pride of place on the front of the jersey is one that will help us with increased brand visibility in both Australia and Asia and reinforces our commitment to both regions.

“The Western Sydney region is currently experiencing exciting growth and we feel that Pepper is well-positioned to offer value and assistance to home loan seekers, as well as continuing to contribute to the economic development of the area.”

In another example of the Wanderers and Pepper partnership, Pepper Group is offering a lucky Western Sydney Wanderers fan the chance to make the kick of a lifetime for a $100,000 cash prize at the Sydney Derby on Saturday, 28 February.

Wanderers’ fans can enter the draw for a chance to make the kick, which will take place at half time of the Sydney Derby, by simply undertaking a Pepper Home Loan Health Check online or at any applicable Wanderers home game and register their details.

The lucky fan will be selected at random on Wednesday 25 February ahead of the match to take the $100k kick that could transform their life.
