Wanderers aiming to stay top against Mariners

The Western Sydney Wanderers will be hoping to cement their spot at the top of the Foxtel National Youth League table when the take on the Central Coast Mariners in Gosford on Saturday.

The Red & Black sit top of Conference B with two games remaining following their epic 4-3 win in the Sydney Derby on Monday night. 
 
The Wanderers fought back twice in the match to eventually secure a valuable three points that saw them leapfrog the Newcastle Jets into first place. 
 
Trailing the Wanderers by only a point, the Mariners will be aiming for top spot themselves after they defeated the Jets 2-0 last week.

The Wanderers and the Mariners meet for the second time this season, following the 1-1 draw in Round 2 of the competition. 
 
With their superior goal difference, the Wanderers know that two wins in their next two matches will likely see them finish top and qualify for the Grand Final. 
 
Following Saturday’s match, the Red & Black will close out the season against FFA’s Centre of Excellence at Popondetta Park on Saturday 15 January.
