The NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers pre-season camp has commenced with the squad leaving for Brisbane on Sunday.

As part of a week of full training the squad will be put through their paces with a number of sessions but will also be given the chance to become a tight-knit group ahead of the club-s first season in the Hyundai A-League. With players coming from far and wide to join the Wanderers it is vital they gel as a squad and become accustomed to each other which is such an important part of being in a team environment.

As a group, the players are excited about the week ahead with a number of them posting on their own Twitter account about the coming week.

“Looking forward to the trip to Brisbane. Week with the boys. Hard training but great to get away and get to know each other on and off the pitch,” Tarek Elrich said.

“Off to Brisbane for the week. Looking forward to training and playing plus a good time to kick back with the boys #LovingLife #PreSeason,” Kwabena Appiah-Kubi said.
